For example, one of the most popular activities in the area is visiting Kidz Country Petting Farm which features sixty-seven acres of rolling farmland where children can meet a wide range of animals. Other notable parks include Snowden Grove Baseball Complex which was built in 1999 and has become a standard for all new youth baseball complexes.

4. Splashpad

The splash pad is a zero-depth water playground on the shore of Geiger Lake. Children can slide down a smiling frog’s tongue, spray each other with water cannons, get soaked by dumping buckets, and shoot water animals from water tornadoes. They can also make their own river with dams, play in a mushroom of sprays and directional jets, or try out the twirling whirlpool.

This kid-friendly park is intended for ages 12 and under. Appropriate attire is required. No food is allowed inside the splash pad area.

Southaven is also proud of its neighborhood parks, two golf courses, and disc golf course. With plans to add new tennis courts and convert existing ones into pickleball courts in Fiscal Year 2023, as well as adding splash parks in both Snowden Grove and Central Parks in Fiscal Years 2024 and 2025, the city continues to invest in its park system.
