The Stadium

The stadium at AutoZone Park Memphis TN is one of the best in the Minor Leagues. Local investors spent over $80 million to build the ballpark to MLB standards in 2000, making it a sight to behold.

In fact, it was voted the top minor-league baseball ballpark by Baseball America in 2009. It’s been home to the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds since 2000 and also serves as the home field for Memphis 901 FC of the United Soccer League.

The stadium features several special seating sections designed to provide fans with a variety of viewing options. Two outfield berms — the Bluffs, a play on the city’s nickname – sit beyond left and right field. These areas offer a scenic view of downtown Memphis.

The Team

AutoZone Park Memphis TN is the home of the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals.

It opened in 2000, making it one of the most expensive minor league stadiums in the country (over $80 million). It has a seating capacity of 10,000 and was designed to meet the standards of Major League Baseball.

The team is owned by a not-for-profit organization, the Memphis Redbirds Baseball Foundation, which makes it unique in baseball. This allows surplus money from the team to be donated to local community organizations and causes.

The Food

There’s no shortage of delicious food at AutoZone Park. From classic baseball fare to veggie options and even an urban rooftop garden, you can satisfy any craving at this Memphis ballpark.

One of the most popular local restaurants, Rendezvous, is located right in front of the stadium. This restaurant is famous for its smoky Memphis-style barbecue.
